Henk Hagen

Henk grew up on a farm outside Piketberg and initially studied for a BSc at Stellenbosch University before changing his course and obtaining a BA Law degree. After completing a Post-graduate Diploma in Translation and Interpreting, Henk took up the reins as Afrikaans translator, project manager and client liaison for our international clients.

Favourite word/phrase: ‘Xhosa click’ – The sound I make when I’m irritated or lost in thought.

Secret superpower: An eye for detail. I notice every single thing that happens around me.

The thing that I love most about my job is: Exposure to a diverse range of interesting topics. Every day brings something new, and translating for a wide variety of disciplines has increased my general knowledge tremendously.
